We are delighted to share that Bohyeon Hwang has been awarded the Prix de Novembre à Vitry 2025 for her work Subjects watching TV and a not-sad Moon, 2024.
Presented at Galerie municipale Jean-Collet in Vitry-sur-Seine, the exhibition Novembre à Vitry highlights emerging and established voices in contemporary art. This year’s jury recognised Hwang’s poetic and textural approach to painting, which explores the quiet emotional life of objects and the porous boundary between material and image.
As part of the prize, Hwang’s work will be acquired for the municipal collection of Vitry-sur-Seine and she has been invited to present a duo exhibition at Galerie Jean-Collet in September 2026, marking a significant recognition of her practice.
The exhibition remains on view until 15 December 2025 at Galerie Jean-Collet.
