Enseoul is honoured to announce that Hyeonkyeong You’s On the Day I Considered Leaving 2 (2025) has been selected as one of the featured works in Starred by Cathelijne Blok at PAN Amsterdam 2025.
An art historian, journalist, and founder of Tittymag, Cathelijne Blok is known for her commitment to showcasing the power of art in an inclusive and accessible way. Each year, she selects a small number of works across the fair that personally resonate with her — pieces that capture emotion, meaning, and connection. Speaking about You’s painting, Blok remarked:
“This work moved me — I was simply drawn to it. That, to me, is one of the most important functions of art: it can make you feel good or stir a particular emotion. This piece, in particular, evoked a sense of calm and serenity amid the overwhelming impressions of the fair.”
