On the Day I Considered Leaving 1, 2025

Anchoring the presentation is a selection of recent works by Hyeonkyeong You, including two paintings from her series On the Day I Considered Leaving (2025). Known for her gestural brushwork and charged use of space, You explores the psychological dimensions of place and memory. Drawing on Asian visual heritage, Buddha figures, castles, and towers, her paintings move fluidly between abstraction and figuration, balancing expressionist intensity with contemplative restraint.

Daeyou Kim

Nurturing the Nature: Gardening, 2024

Daeyou Kim constructs visual inventories drawn from possession, longing, and imagination, with each object suspended between desire and memory. His paintings probe the urge to own not only things but also the narratives and time they contain. Yet each work reveals the futility of possession as forms shift, meanings dissolve, and only the image remains—the trace of wanting, rather than the thing itself.

Bohyeon Hwang's paintings probe the tension between proximity and distance, material surface and withheld meaning. Blurring the line between the tactile and the imagined, her works trace emotional resonance in fragments, residues, and overlooked matter. Through layering, scraping, sanding, and stitching, Hwang turns the canvas into a site of memory and quiet resistance. Objects appear not as symbols but as companions in daily life, their surfaces bearing the traces of time, touch, and persistence.

Make it Black, 2025

Sanghyuk Kim’s practice examines the fragmentation of time and the distortion of perception. Drawing from historical and personal narratives, he constructs paintings that disrupt visual coherence, revealing the instability of representation.
Sandi Gehring

Face of a Tree, 2023

Sandi Gehring’s practice centres on the perceptual interplay of colour, form, and the natural world. Working in pastel, oil, and linen, she builds her compositions through intuition: one shape giving rise to another, one tone answering its counterpart. Gehring’s works do not depict the landscape as it appears but as it lingers: an afterimage of light, the rhythm of trees in wind, the quiet correspondence between seeing and feeling.
